Valve and Codemasters Bring Jericho , Future Titles To Steam

Valve and Codemasters have announced an agreement that will see both new and to-be-released Codemasters titles made available through Steam, Valve's content delivery platform, as Codemasters' Clive Barker's Jericho marks the company's Steam debut on October 23rd in North America and on October 26th in the rest of the world.

In addition to the supernatural horror FPS Jericho, two other Codemasters titles are slated for release on Steam in October: despotic fantasy-action Overlord, and off-road racer DiRT. According to the announcement, future Codemasters titles, like Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, will release on Steam to coincide with the date of their retail releases.

Jericho is based on an original concept from novelist and filmmaker Clive Barker, and tasks players with combating the paranormal across various time periods in a ruined city. The ESRB gave Jericho an "M" rating, and the game was effectively banned in Germany.

Peter Chan, Codemasters' director of business development, says, "With major new content in the portfolio, Codemasters continues to expand its publishing and distribution reach. As the industry's leading online platform for digital delivery of PC entertainment, Steam is a natural addition to the suite of leading platforms Codemasters is targeting with its leading new and recent releases."
