Midway Confirms Unreal Tournament 3 Holiday Ship Date
Midway Confirms Unreal Tournament 3 Holiday Ship Date

More: Console/PC

Following a statement from Epic's Mark Rein that Unreal Tournament 3 would come to PS3 before the holidays, publisher Midway has confirmed that the game should ship to North American retailers on December 10th.

Rein's statement came despite a statement from Midway in October saying the PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 had been delayed to 2008. Midway now says the game "is expected to begin arriving in stores in limited quantities" on December 11th in both its standard and collector's edition form.

However, Rein's earlier statement added, "For PAL territories, specifically UK and Europe, we have a few localization-related tasks to complete and then we should be starting the certification process pretty soon. My best guess is early next year (January or February) for the game to ship over there."

The PC version of the title has been released and is currently available. As a timed console exclusive, the Xbox 360 version of the game is expected in early 2008.
