Gamasutra's
regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list.
While other regions continue to recover in the wake of the holiday season, North America will soon see major multiplatform releases like
NFL Tour and
Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. Worldwide release schedules will continue to expand throughout January.
The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending January 12th, 2008.
Games Released in the United States:
Nintendo Wii: - Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law - Kidz Sports: Ice Hockey - Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge - Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity

After several weeks of inactivity, North America returns with a robust lineup of multiplatform releases. Sports fans have the
NFL Street series successor

Sonic Riders sequel
Zero Gravity and the awaited comedic adventure title
Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law will debut across multiple platforms.

Nintendo DS:

While the United States bounces back after the holiday doldrums with a sizeable lineup, the UK will only see three new titles released in the coming week. Next week will see a much broader selection, however, with weekly releases scheduled to grow in number through the end of January.
Games Released in Japan:
Nintendo Wii:
- Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! Dream Hyper Battle! Wii
Nintendo DS:
- Chishiki-Ou Series: Train Master
PlayStation Portable:

Japan also appears to be suffering a slow recovery from the holiday season, as only three titles are scheduled to see Japanese release this week. As is the case in the UK, the bulk of this month's Japanese releases will come at the end of January, and next week is shaping up to offer a considerably larger lineup.
