Officials from UK based publisher Codemasters have announced a new distribution partnership with casual games developer and publisher MumboJumbo to release their titles in Europe. The deal will see the two companies publish an initial catalogue of ten premium casual games across Europe.

The partnership will be via the Codemasters Online subsidiary, specifically set-up to manage the company’s expansion into the online and casual markets. From April 25th the new range of titles will be published under the Funsta label, as part of Codemasters’ continued promotion of the Funsta.com games portal and brand.

The initial launch of ten products will include popular hits such as Luxor and 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. The former has seen over 65 million worldwide downloads and sold more than 700,000 units at North American retail since 2005.

Other titles include Luxor 2, Wonders II, Poker Superstars II, Slingo Quest, Gemsweeper and Jewel Quest for the PC. Luxor: Pharaoh’s Challenge, 7 Wonders of the Ancient World and Platypus will also be published by Codemasters on various consoles including the PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS and Wii.

David Solari, vice president of Codemasters Online Gaming commented, “We are very excited to be partnering with one of the top developers and publishers of casual gaming content in the world. The Luxor and 7 Wonders brands have seen enormous success at U.S. retail, and we look forward to replicating that success across Europe.”

”We are thrilled to launch our range of games with Codemasters Online, their expertise and in-depth knowledge of the European marketplace is invaluable and we think that the great titles we have to bring to the table will make for a very successful partnership,” said Mark Cottam, CEO of MumboJumbo.
