Representatives from persistent browser game (PBG) publisher OMAC Industries have announced that the Dublin based company is to acquire UK firm Jolt Online Gaming.

Described as one of the leading online games communities in Europe, Jolt was founded in 1999 to provide services for both online gamers and hosting provisions for publishers. It is also known for its involvement in PBGs such as Planetarion and Londinvm.

OMAC Industries has offices in Dublin, Los Angeles and Delhi, India and is currently readying a slate of new PBG titles. Nation States 2 is due to be released this summer, with other new titles being revealed later in the year.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Jolt and its community into the OMAC Industries family”, said Dylan Collins, CEO of OMAC Industries. “We think that there are great opportunities between our existing and in-development PBG titles and the fantastic group of players and staff that Jolt has”.
