California-based tool developer AiLive has announced new LiveMove 2 Motion Control AI Software, specifically designed for developers creating titles with the new Wii MotionPlus add-on, and promising major new capabilities.

According to an announcement from AiLive, LiveMove 2 "...supports Nintendo's groundbreaking new Wii MotionPlus accessory that was collaboratively developed with AiLive."

Specifically, LiveMove 2 Motion Control AI Software delivers higher quality motion recognition performance for Wii MotionPlus data. LiveMove 2 provides continuous motion control by integrating motion recognition with several major new capabilities including:

- more advanced motion tracking
- coordinated two-handed moves
- snap-to-fit technology for personalized in-game animations.

LiveMove 2 recognizes the full 3D position and orientation of the Wii MotionPlus accessory, and seamlessly maps a player's motion to in-game animations.

The company previously worked closely with Nintendo on LiveMove for the first iteration of the Wiimote.

"The Wii console and remote have redefined the game industry," said Genyo Takeda, General Manager of Integrated Research & Development Division of Nintendo, "The revolutionary LiveMove 2 development tool takes the remote to the next level and enables Wii developers to capture the heart and soul of many existing and new players."
