As promised last week, Capcom has revealed a new game via an Xbox Live Marketplace teaser: a sequel to third-person shooter Lost Planet.
The download was first made available in Japan and features the same icebound world as the previous game, but follows a global warming event that will introduce new jungle and other temperate environments.
Overseen by Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi, the game will feature a heavy focus on co-operative play. The story mode will feature a number of different characters, many from rival "snow pirate" factions.
As additional gameplay details begin to emerge, it is currently unclear whether the game remains an Xbox 360 exclusive. Although Capcom has previously indicated that all its major titles, including the recently revealed Dead Rising 2, will be multiplatform, there has been no mention of a PlayStation 3 version of Lost Planet 2 thus far.
The game will use MT-FrameWork 2.0, an evolution of the same propriety graphic engine used by Capcom in its internally-developed Dead Rising, Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4.

As for Dino Crisis, yeah I'm gonna have to pass all around on that one.
Because fans have been asking and asking for it. Unlike Dead Rising 2, Power Stone sequels, and numerous other hollwo promises Capcom has made. NO, they go and make a sequal the one of the shittiest games to grace a platform. Way to go Capcom, you have proven once again that you are worth only as must as your Street Fighter Franchise which by the current addition puts you somewhere between Midway and Interplay.
Hope Lost Planet 2 comes to ps3 as well.
