Intel-owned middleware and tools company Havok says its Cloth clothing simulator is its fastest-selling product to date.

Havok Cloth is a runtime SDK and toolset that lets designers add physics-based motion to garments, environmental objects and other elements like hair and tails. The company says it can minimize the time animators spend implementing those kinds of animations.

Cloth integrates with Havok Physics, Havok Animation and Havok Behavior, and the company says it can be integrated with existing internal architectures.

"Havok Cloth’s rapid and broad adoption by game developers is testament to Havok’s dedication to being the complete solutions provider for the gaming industry," says managing director David O'Meara.

"Havok Physics [is] prevalent in six times as many games sold in the US market as our closest competitor," he adds. "Havok will continue to build support as developers experience the company’s unsurpassed strength in technical leadership, customer service and high-quality product."
