Intel-owned middleware and tools company Havok announced that Polish studio CD Projekt Red (The Witcher) licensed Havok Complete for upcoming titles coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

Founded in 1994 and based in Warsaw, Poland, CD Projekt Red is best known for 2007 PC RPG The Witcher, which received an Enhanced Edition last year and will see Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions this fall.

Havok Complete combines two of Havok's core platforms -- real-time collision detection and physical simulation solution Havok Physics engine, and integrated character animation system Havok Animation.

The products are designed to "aid in the creation of complex and dynamic character performances" and can be "integrated into existing internal architectures."

“Integrating Havok Complete into our existing framework has allowed our teams to focus on upping the ante on incredible overall gameplay experience,” said CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kicinski, “Havok’s incredible customer support and ability to tailor its products to meet our needs will help ensure our characters respond to complex physical worlds in as realistic a way as possible.”
