Zynga's Texas Hold'em Poker and Mafia Wars were the two most popular titles on Facebook this past month, according to Inside Social Games' new chart, with the former claiming some 14.2 million active players.

Mafia Wars, which yesterday boasted receiving 4 million daily users across multiple social networks and sites despite launching last June, enjoyed 12.4 million actives in the same period.

Off to a fruitful start on Facebook, Zynga's Farmville debuted as the eighth most popular title with over 5 million users, just three spots under Slashkey's Farm Town (10.4 million monthly actives).

Other Zynga titles experiencing a significant amount of players include YoVille (7.8 million), Street Racing (2.9 million), and Vampire Wars (2.3 million).

MindJolt Games, which includes a collection of titles such as Bouncing Balls and Guitar Geek, earned over 4 million new players and jumped up two spots since the last month's ranking to number four on the list.

Further down the chart, Playfish's Restaurant City, PopCap's Bejeweled Blitz, and Metrogames' Waka-Waka and Biotronic all gained over 1 million active players over last month.

Socialreach.com's Pass A Drink, however, lost 2.2 million of its active audience, now claiming only 4.1 mllion. Newcomers to the Top 25, aside from FarmVille, include The Broth's Barn Buddy (3.2 million) and Shikha's Pillow Fight (2.6 million).

You can see a chart of the top 25 most popular games on Facebook for this previous month, provided by social gaming site Inside Social Games, below:
