London Games Festival Returns In October

The UK's Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers' Association has announced the return of the London Games Festival, the event's fourth year.

This year's highlights will include the London MCM Expo, the Eurogamer Expo, and the Golden Joystick Awards between October 24th, the kickoff day, and October 31.

"The 2008 London Games Festival was a major success," says ELSPA director general Michael Rawlinson. "With the rise in popularity of video games in the UK, I’m sure this year’s Festival will be a great draw and fun for everyone."

"The 2008 London Games Festival was the biggest and brightest," adds Keith Ramsdale, Electronic Arts' UK vice president and general manager, who chaired the event last year.

"With support from all areas of the industry it is now well established as part of the worldwide event calendar and we look forward to its ongoing success," he says, noting that the London Games Festival has already signed up a number of partners.

Interested parties can find more information on the Festival at www.londongamesfestival.com.
