Namco Bandai will publish
Majin: The Fallen Realm and
Clash of the Titans, the next titles from Game Republic, developer of 2007's PlayStation 3 action adventure game
Folklore, the companies revealed this week.
Described as a fantasy action adventure game,
Majin will employ an AI-controlled monster sidekick called Majin. The game will incorporate this cooperative AI gameplay with action and stealth elements in an open world, Namco Bandai said.
"
Majin: The Fallen Realm is an extremely important title for us, and one we believe will pioneer a new genre of advanced artificially intelligent cooperative gameplay,” said Daisuke Uchiyama, chief producer at Namco Bandai Games Inc. The game is due in 2010 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
Namco also revealed it will publish another Game Republic game,
Clash of the Titans, also due for Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2010. The game will launch in conjunction with Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' film of the same name.
Previously, Brash Entertainment was planning on releasing Game Republic's
Clash of the Titans. But that deal fell through after Brash imploded last year.
Namco Bandai will be working with Yoshiki Okamoto, who founded Game Republic in 2005. Okamoto is also known for playing a key role in the creation of renowned Capcom and Konami titles.
Game Republic has also released
Genji: Days of the Blade,
Dark Mist,
Catan and other titles.
Namco Bandai also
said this week that it will be publishing a new mystery game from
Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory. The game, based on a new property, is in development for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
