Combined sales of the Game Boy Advance remakes Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver for Nintendo DS led weekly sales in Japan, with Wii Fit Plus coming in a strong second, according to tracking firm Media Create.

For the week ended October 11, Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver together sold 189,000, bumping down to second place last week's Japanese number one, Wii Fit Plus, which sold 153,000 units this week.

Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver for DS released in Japan on September 12, and to date have sold 2.47 million units. Wii Fit Plus launched on October 1 and has sold 492,000 units to date.

The only new game on the charts this week was Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey for DS. The title, a first-person role-playing game, sold 97,000 units in its opening week.

Falling out of the Japanese top 10 from last week were Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Koei's Dynasty Warriors: Multi Raid Special, and Bandai Namco's Dynasty Warriors: Multi Raid Special, all for PS3.
