Nintendo will launch limited-edition DSi bundles for the holiday shopping date known as "Black Friday," offering special colors and $20 worth of pre-installed software.
Beginning on November 27, consumers can purchase either Metallic Blue or White DSis that each come with five different DSiWare software installs -- the blue hardware is themed around Mario, and the White is themed around brain teasers.
The Metallic Blue DS includes Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again, Dr. Mario Express and WarioWare: Snapped, as well as two apps, Mario Calculator and Mario Clock.
The White DS comes with Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Sudoku, Brain Age Express: Math, Clubhouse Games Express: Card Classics and the Photo Clock application.
"These limited-edition bundles come packed with some of the great Nintendo DSiWare games and applications that have made Nintendo DSi such a big hit with shoppers young and old," says sales and marketing EVP Cammie Dunaway. "The special price and pre-installed titles make the bundles a huge value for the holidays."
The bundles will be available while supplies last. Nintendo regularly offers handheld bundles on holidays and timed for major gift-buying periods; this makes the third year in a row that the company has offered Black Friday DS bundles.
In 2007, the company released Gold and Metallic Rose DS Lites with The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Nintendogs, respectively; last year's Black Friday bundle had a red Mario-branded DS with New Super Mario Bros and an Ice-Blue DS with Brain Age.
