Gamasutra Jobs is a recruitment resource that's more than just a job board. It's the leading community in the video game industry, offering recruitment tools, game developer bloggers, and journalism.

How can I get access to the Gamasutra Job Board?

You'll need a Gamasutra employer account! If you do not have an employer account, create a brand new Gamasutra account by clicking "Sign Up" on our front page, and selecting "Employer" as the "Job Board Account Type."

Once you've set up your account, head back to the job board and start searching!

NOTES:

  • Your user name is the e-mail address you used to register with the job board.
  • If you forgot your password go to any Gamasutra login screen and click "Forgot Password." Follow the instructions from there.
  • If you're unable remember the e-mail address you used to register with the job board, e-mail jobsfeedback@gamasutra.com.
  • To change the e-mail address for your account, request an email change from support@gamasutra.com.

I forgot my password, how can I log on?

If you forgot your password go to any Gamasutra login screen and click "Forgot Password." Follow the instructions from there.

How can I change the e-mail address for my account?

To change the e-mail address for your account, request an email change from support@gamasutra.com.

How do I post a Job?

The first step is to purchase job credits at (jobs.gamasutra.com/employer_offers).

If you've already purchased credits, go ahead and click on the tab labeled "Post Job" near the top of the page, next to "Find Resumes" on the homepage. Once there, you can enter your position's information, including categories, market sector and a text description as well.

Where can I find candidates/applicants

On the "My Account" page, you'll see an option to "View Applicants". From here you can view and sort applicants by position and by status. Results will appear on the right hand side of the page.

You can also search for candidates in the resume database by clicking on "Resumes" found in the top navigation bar of the job board. You can input key-words to search by various search criteria. If you don't have resume credits, you can purchase resumes individually or in bulk on our purchase page found here.

How do I update my company profiles?

Click on the "My Account" tab. You'll then see a tab labeled "Update Profile". From this link you can update all aspects of your company's profile from uploading a photo to entering a short company description. Once finished, click "Preview Profile" at the bottom of the screen to preview your page or click "Update Profile" to save changes. This is where you can also add/edit profiles for subsidiaries of your organization.

How do I purchase Job Credits?

At www.jobs.gamasutra.com/employer_offers you'll find the Job Credit pricing sheet and can purchase credits of all types through this page. Simply fill in the matrix with the number of each type of desired credit and click "Submit Order" at the bottom. You'll then be asked to supply payment information.

How do I edit an existing job?

Start by clicking on the "Manage Jobs" button found in the top navigation portion of the job board. From there, use the filters to select Active, Expired, Incomplete or Suspended jobs. Once you see the job you want to edit in the tables below, click on the "Edit" button that's next to the job that you want to edit. Make any desired changes and hit "Edit" at the bottom of the page to complete the process.

How do I search the resume database?

You'll first need to purchase resume database access at jobs.gamasutra.com/employer_offers. Once you have access, click the "Find Resumes" link from the top toolbar. From this page, you'll be able to search our resume database by keyword, experience level, and other data points. Your results will show up on the right hand side - click "View Resume" to take a look at the candidate's resume.

What are featured employers? How do I become one?

Featured employers get the best, most prominent placement right at the top of our job board. These are employers that have made a purchase of more than 15 job credits at a time. You'll receive a spot in our Featured Employer carousel and the ability to post a skin on the Gama Jobs Homepage, not to mention you'll get the best discounts on future job credit purchases. My company has multiple subsidiaries. Can I create jobs for different subsidiaries with the same account?

Absolutely! If you go to the "My Account" page, you'll see a link labeled "Company Profiles". From here, click the "Create Company Profile" button and you'll be able to set up your sub-studio's profile. To assign a certain profile to a certain position, use the drop down menu in the "Job Information" section while posting a new job.

How can I track all applicants who have applied to a job with my organization?

From the "My Account" page, click on the "Manage Applicants" tab. You'll be able to see all applicants to your positions on the right hand side of this page. Clicking an applicant lets you change the status of their application, and send them templated messages.

How do I harness the internal/free applicant tracking system in Gamasutra's job board?

Click on the "Manage Jobs" found in the top navigation of the Gamasutra Job board. Then click on the job you want to manage. This will take you to the job page where you can click on the "Applicants" button found on the left-hand side. From here you can manage applicants, send messages to them and automate many steps of the recruitment process.

How can I utilize the messaging templates in the applicant tracking system?

If you want to send a message to one applicant, then go to "My Account", click on "Manage Applicants" and click on the applicant you want to send a message to. From there, click on the "Message" button found to the right. This will take you to the internal messaging system. You have the ability to use and existing template or add a new one. Just fill in the text boxes and click the box labeled "Save this message for future use," to add it to your list of templates.

If you want to send a message to multiple applicants as part of recruiting for a job, then your steps will differ. Click on the "Manage Jobs" found in the top navigation of the Gamasutra Job board. Then click on the job you want to manage. This will take you to the job page where you can click on the "Applicants" button found on the left-hand side. From there you can use the radio buttons to select the applicants you would like to send a message to and complete the required fields.

How can I post jobs on Gamasutra to attract passive candidates?

Along with the job board, Jobs are also fed into Gamasutra news stories, GDC Event websites, and newsletters. On the job posting form, there is a box labeled "Market Sector/Platform". Checking the applicable fields in this box will allow your job to be fed to other parts of the site related to the same market sectors/platforms.

How long to job postings last?

Job postings last 30 days from the date of posting.

What job posting options do I have?

There are four different types of job credits:

Standard Job Credit - The basic credit. Allows you to post your job to the homepage jobs feed on the day it is posted, and will remain searchable until the job expires.

Enhanced Job Credit - Along with Standard features, you'll be able to show your company logo and add an enhanced description that will show up on the homepage jobs feed.

Standard Weekly Refresh Credit - This credit type offers the same features as the Standard credit, but the job will refresh to the top of the homepage jobs feed on a weekly basis until it expires.

Enhanced Weekly Refresh Credit - Our best job credit. This will give you all the features of the Enhanced Job credits, and once a week the job will refresh to the top of the list, giving you the best and most consistent presence on the job board.

How can I purchase access to resumes in the resume database?

Resume Database access can be purchased from the same place as job credits. Head over to www.jobs.gamasutra.com/employer_offers and scroll down to the "Purchase Resume Credits" section where you can purchase resume access a la carte.
