Tapio Liukkonen

Tapio is the founder of Kaamos Sound, a production company which focuses on the creation of sound effects for a wide variety of fields. He graduated from Finnish North Karelian Polytechnic, where he studied TV, radio and music sound recording. Early in his career he worked on the Finnish version of the Big Brother reality TV series as its sound engineer.

He became interested about game audio with the Broken Alliance open source game, for which he produced sounds during his studies. His thesis "Problems of The Game Audio" is available in the Gamasutra education section.

At the moment, Tapio is working with website and flash games. His business idea came from his enthusiasm for the game audio, which hopefully will become the main area for Kaamos Sound in the future.
