Joseph LaViola Jr.

Joseph J. LaViola Jr. is an assistant professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Central Florida as well as an adjunct assistant research professor in the Computer Science Department at Brown University. He directs the Interactive Systems and User Experience Lab (http://www.eecs.ucf.edu/isuelab/index.php) and his primary research interests include 3D user interfaces for games, pen-based interactive computing, predictive motion tracking, and user interface evaluation. Joseph received a Sc.M. in Computer Science in 2000, a Sc.M. in Applied Mathematics in 2001, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2005 from Brown University.
