Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in an exclusively compiled list.

Japan will see the bulk of this week's biggest new releases, with Tales of Innocence and Lost Odyssey taking center stage, while titles like No More Heroes and Arkanoid DS promise to find an audience both in Japan and overseas. Europe, meanwhile, will score a pair of high-profile PSP sequels in Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice and WipeOut Pulse, along with the awaited debut of SingStar for the PlayStation 3.

The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending December 8th, 2007.

Games Released in the United States:

Nintendo Wii:
- Alvin and the Chipmunks
- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

A flood of multiplatform ports for titles like Alvin and the Chipmunks and The Golden Compass makes for a slightly more substantial U.S. release week, following last week's trickle of offerings. Most of these titles are based upon licensed properties, however, and few stand out in comparison to the many big-name hits released throughout November. Unreal Tournament III for the PlayStation 3 promises to be the highlight of next week's release lineup, meanwhile, as rumors suggest that Rock Band's PlayStation 2 debut may be pushed back to 2008.

The PSP will receive a boost as well, with a pair of Europe-exclusive sequels in Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice and WipeOut Pulse.
