Need For Speed Carbon Crashes UK Sales Charts

As expected, the latest iteration in Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed series, Need For Speed Carbon, has entered straight in at the number one spot in the UK sales charts and appears well on target to become the UK Christmas number one, as many of its predecessors have managed before it.

With an increasingly busy pre-Christmas chart, Rockstar’s PSP exclusive Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories has entered only at number six, while the second expansion pack for British brand Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War has performed well at number nine.

PC-only title Neverwinter Nights 2 has also performed well, with a debut at number fourteen, while Activision's Marvel: Ultimate Alliance strongarms its way onto the chart at a less-than-expected debut at number twenty-four. Atari’s Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is the final new entry of the week at number twenty-nine.
