WB To Distribute Codemasters in North America

Officials from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment have announced that the company has entered into a new agreement with British publisher Codemasters for distribution and sales of its products in North America, beginning in April 2007.
Both Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Warner Home Video will co-operate in managing the distribution, sales and trade marketing of Codemasters’ titles in North America, until May 2008.
The first titles to be released in North America under the deal will be rally game DIRT: Colin McRae Off-Road, role-playing game Overlord, horror themed action title Clive Barker’s Jericho, and alternative history WWII real-time strategy Fall of Liberty.
“This partnership allows the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group divisions to combine strengths to distribute Codemasters’ games, which have global appeal, throughout North America,” said Kevin Tsujihara, president pf Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. “Employing the expertise of our gaming division and our powerful home video distribution services, we will bring Codemasters’ products to consumers within the ever-growing gaming marketplace.”
Last week Warner Bros. also made a significant investment in British publisher and developer SCi, owners of Eidos Interactive. As a result, the Tomb Raider publisher received access to a number of prominent Warner Bros. properties, including DC Comics, as well as a North America distribution deal for its own titles.
