Mass Effect Film Spotlighted At Upcoming Convention

Movie company Legendary Films will break its year-long silence to discuss its adaptation of BioWare's Mass Effect franchise at a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con later this month.

In a panel spotlighting four of the company's upcoming films, BioWare's Casey Hudson (who serves as an executive producer on the movie) and the film's screenwriter Mark Protosevich will discuss the work being done on the movie.

The panel promises "an early look" at some of the films the company has in development, but given what is known about the Mass Effect project, it is unlikely that any footage is ready to be shown.

Legendary acquired the film rights to Mass Effect over a year ago, and has remained quiet about the project since.

In addition to the Protosevich (Thor, I am Legend)-penned script, the film has also attached Thomas Tull as producer, along with Jon Jashni and Avi and Ari Arad.
