Newsbrief: Activision Blizzard has promoted Humam Sakhnini to the newly created position of chief strategy and talent officer, where he will oversee the publisher's corporate strategy and business development activities.

He will also take over responsibility for human resource activities across the company, replacing Ann Weiser, who Activision Blizzard announced is retiring at the end of her contract sometime this year after serving the publisher for five years.

Sakhini previously worked as Activision Blizzard's EVP of corporate strategy and business development, joining the company in 2009. Prior to that, he was a partner at consulting firm McKinsey & Company for eight years, advising media and technology firms.
