Luxology Launches Luxology TV For 3D Video Content Sharing

Representatives from modo developer Luxology have announced Luxology TV, an online searchable library that allows community members to share and view high resolution 3D video content on Luxology's website.
Luxology TV allows users to search, select, and view videos on a variety of subjects such as modeling, rendering, painting and sculpting. While the majority of this content will be free, some professional training materials contributed by Luxology and other third parties will be available for purchase. Most videos are available in both QuickTime and Flash formats.
According to Luxology, the online hub is designed to rapidly grow to become “a massive repository of training and presentation material on modo and other topics pertaining to 3D content creation.” The service currently features content broken out into two main categories: a training area that includes “how-to” video clips, while the gallery contains animations and non-instructional videos.
“Video is the richest medium for explaining how to use 3D software, and Luxology has long advocated its use by integrating over 1GB of videos directly into modo, posting weekly video updates on our website, and encouraging customers to share their experiences via video clips,” said Brad Peebler, president and co-founder of Luxology. “Luxology TV is a dynamic new vehicle that allows us to aggregate and share a vast amount of video training and other topical subject matter across the entire 3D community.”
