[Every week, IndieGames.com: The Weblog co-editor-in-chief Tim W. will be summing up some of the top free-to-download and commercial indie games from the last seven days on his sister 'state of indie' weblog.]
This week on "Best Of Indie Games," we take a look at some of the top independent PC Flash/downloadable titles released over this last week.
The delights in this edition include a PlayStation Mini port of Adam Atomic's one-button platformer Canabalt
, a physics puzzler with gerbils in it, the highly-anticipated release of thatgamecompanys' third and final exclusive game for the PlayStation Network, plus an old-school turn-based RPG that's all about scavenging to survive in a post-apocalyptic world.
Here's some recent highlights from IndieGames.com:
Game Pick: 'Canabalt'
(Beatshapers, commercial indie)
"Previously available as a free flash game and an iOS game, you can now play Canabalt
on the go on PlayStation handhelds, or get it up on a big screen via the PS3 version."

games, players use a limited number of explosive items to demolish structures and get each level's gaggle of gerbil characters below a specific height threshold."

Game Pick: 'NEO Scavenger'
(Blue Bottle Games, browser)
is a deliciously old-school turn-based RPG that will have you juggling a multitude of concerns as you journey through a desolate, post-apocalyptic world."
Game Pick: 'Incoboto'
(Fluttermind, commercial indie)
, said to be in the spirit of Ico
, a boy named Inco and his solar friend, Helios, explore planets with grapples, jetpacks, teleports, gravity beams and other game mechanic-inducing machines on a mission to return light to the skies."
