[In this weekly column, Gamasutra rounds up the most popular paid and free iPad gaming applications on the App Store as of today, with Sky Gamblers, Draw Something and Flight Control: Rocket currently ranking among the platform's top downloads.]

This week's top paid titles are:

1. Angry Birds Space HD ($2.99)
2. Draw Something ($0.99)
3. Osmos for iPad ($0.99)
4. Jelly Lander HD ($0.99)
5. Sky Gamblers: Air Supremacy ($4.99)
6. Where's My Water? ($0.99)
7. Angry Birds HD ($2.99)
8. Monopoly for iPad ($0.99)
9. Words With Friends HD ($0.99)
10. Angry Birds Seasons HD ($1.99)

Rovio's Angry Birds Space HD leads the iPad's sales rankings in its premiere week, unseating OMGPOP's longtime chart champion Draw Something.

Modern Combat 3, Flight Control: Rocket, and Infinity Blade II drop out of the top ten after strong chart performances in the wake of the iPad 3's launch last week, meanwhile, as Cantonex's newly released Jelly Lander HD trails Hemisphere Games' Osmos for iPad at fourth place.

Here are this week's top free iPad applications:

1. Draw Something Free
2. Hunger Games: Girl on Fire
3. Words With Friends HD Free
4. Skee-Ball HD Free
5. Angry Birds HD Free
6. Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull
7. Temple Run
8. Air Wings
9. Squids
10. Bejeweled Blitz

Lions Gate's film tie-in title Hunger Games: Girl on Fire (developed in collaboration with indie developers Adam Saltsman, Paul Veer, and others) captures second place in the free charts shortly after its release, challenging OMGPOP's reigning Draw Something Free.

Words With Friends HD Free moves up to third place this week, as newcomer Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull takes sixth after a recent debut.
