Newsbrief: The DigiPen Institute of Technology, a prominent game design school in Redmond, Washington, announced on Wednesday that it will offer two new programs this fall for undergraduates looking to pursue an education in sound design.

The first new program is for a Bachelor of Arts in music and sound design, and will include courses on music history, theory, and composition, as well as instruction on putting these concepts into practice. The second program offers a Bachelor of Science in engineering and sound design, and will focus on studio recording, acoustics, as well as physics and computer science.

DigiPen is currently accepting admissions for the upcoming fall semester, and those interested in applying or learning more about the school's programs can do so at its official website.

Very cool. Game audio education is such neglected area compared to other disciplines, it's great to see one of the leading schools develop a full curriculum for it.
