[In this weekly column, Gamasutra rounds up the most popular paid and free iPad gaming applications on the App Store as of today, with Max Payne Mobile, Draw Something and Blokus HD currently ranking among the platform's top downloads.]

This week's top paid titles are:

1. Angry Birds Space HD ($2.99)
2. Draw Something ($0.99)
3. Max Payne Mobile ($2.99)
4. Skylanders Cloud Patrol ($0.99)
5. Infinity Blade II ($4.99)
6. Where's My Water? ($0.99)
7. Clear Vision (17+) ($0.99)
8. Angry Birds HD ($2.99)
9. Crow ($4.99)
10. Fruit Ninja HD ($2.99)

Rovio's Angry Birds Space HD and OMGPOP's Draw Something spend their fourth week atop the iPad's sales charts, though both titles face new competition from Rockstar's PC-ported third-person shooter Max Payne Mobile, which claims third place in its debut week.

Chair's Infinity Blade II earns fifth place following the recent release of a content-expanding update, while Sunside's story-driven action-adventure title Crow finishes ahead of Fruit Ninja HD in its premiere week.

Here are this week's top free iPad applications:

1. Blokus HD
2. Draw Something Free
3. Ice Age Village
4. The Lorax HD
5. Bike Race Free
6. Words With Friends HD Free
7. Design This Home
8. Temple Run
9. Red Bull Kart Fighter World Tour
10. Bejeweled Blitz

Gameloft's Blokus HD earns top honors during a limited-time free download promotion, ending Draw Something Free's multi-week reign atop the iPad's free app charts.

Miniclip's animated film-based The Lorax HD enters the top ten at fourth place this week, meanwhile, as App Minis' free-to-play sim title Design This Home overtakes Imangi's Temple Run at seventh place.
