Newsbrief: Microsoft on Monday announced that it has eased the pricing restrictions on its Xbox Live Indie Games service, allowing developers to change the price of their games every seven days, as opposed to every 90 days.

This change gives XBLIG developers more options regarding how they price their games, allowing them to run week-long sales, to more quickly employ price drops, and more.

All other pricing regulations on the platform, meanwhile, remain the same. All games below 150MB in size can cost 80 ($1), 240 ($3), or 400 ($5) Microsoft points, while games above 150MB (but below the 500MB maximum) can cost 240 or 400 points.
