Newsbrief: Japanese mobile social game network developer and operator Gree has made another acquisition: Korean studio paprika Lab (Hero City). Terms for the deal were not disclosed.

Paprika, which developers games for Facebook and mobile, has worked with Gree in the past. Gree intends to incorporate Paprika's portfolio into its recently launched global social game platform, according to a report from VentureSquare.

This purchase follows several other moves Gree has made to strengthen its network, including opening a development studio in San Francisco, and buying Modern War maker Funzio in a $210 million deal.

Gree has also partnered with a number of Western game publishers -- 2K, Mind Candy, Ubisoft, CrowdStar, Gameloft, and others -- to bring exclusives from their popular franchises to its service.
