Newsbrief: On Wednesday, the Games for Change organization held its regular awards ceremony at the 9th annual Games for Change Festival in New York, where Coco & Co's unique co-op game Way took home the award for Game of the Year.

Way is a two-player online game where players learn to communicate and collaborate with each other to solve puzzles and and overcome obstacles. The Games for Change judges deemed it the best example at the festival, as it cleverly embraces positive social change by encouraging players to work past their differences to accomplish a shared goal.

This year's Games for Change awards saw 67 unique submissions, though only 3 went home with an award. The remaining winners for this year's festival are as follows:

Most Significant Impact: Spent, McKinney, Urban Ministries of Durham
Most Innovative Game: Way, Coco & Co
Best Gameplay: Unmanned, Molleindustria and No Media Kings
Knight News Game: Unmanned, Molleindustria and No Media Kings
