Newsbrief: Following the success of Telltale's adventure gaming take on AMC TV series The Walking Dead, the show is now getting a couple more games to accompany it.

Activision has revealed a first-person shooter based on the TV series, developed by Texas-based Terminal Reality, best known for it BloodRayne action series. Due for release in 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC, the game will revolve around doing whatever it takes to survive a zombie outbreak.

Elsewhere, Telltale told The Verge that it plans to continue working with The Walking Dead franchise after this five-episode season of games, although it did not state whether this will simply be another season, or something completely different. The first series has sold 1.7 million episodes to date.
