[In this weekly feature, Gamasutra rounds up the week's most popular paid and free iPhone and iPod Touch games, as current on the iTunes App Store.]

This week's top paid iPhone game titles on the App Store, as captured on July 16th 2012, are as follows:

1. Amazing Alex (Rovio, $0.99)
2. Where's My Perry? (Disney, $0.99)
3. Temple Run: Brave (Disney, $0.99)
4. Where's My Water? (Disney, $0.99)
5. Angry Birds Space (Rovio, $0.99)
6. Tiny War (Noumena, $0.99)
7. Bejeweled (PopCap, $0.99)
8. Tiny Wings (Andreas Illiger, $0.99)
9. The Heist (taptaptap, $0.99)
10. Fruit Ninja (Halfbrick, $0.99)

Rovio's recently relaunched puzzler Amazing Alex (previously Casey's Contraptions) tops the iPhone sales rankings this week, beating out former chart champions Where's My Perry?, Temple Run: Brave, and Where's My Water?

Newcomer Tiny War enters the charts at sixth place this week, as an updated Tiny Wings overtakes The Heist at eighth.

Here are this week's top free iPhone games:

1. Pyramid Run (MagicBone)
2. Tap Tap Revenge Tour (Tapulous)
3. Matching With Friends Free (Zynga)
4. Guess the Character (JanduSoft)
5. Hit Tennis 3 (Focused Apps)
6. Tower Bloxx Deluxe 3D (Digital Chocolate)
7. Flow Free (Big Duck Games)
8. Jewels with Buddies (Stofle Designs)
9. CSR Racing (NaturalMotion)
10. Song Pop Free (FreshPlanet)

MagicBone's Temple Run clone Pyramid Run leads this week's free iPad charts, while a recently released Tap Tap Revenge sequel from Tapulous trails at second place.

JanduSoft's Guess the Character drops to fourth place, meanwhile, as Zynga's Matching With Friends Free claims third place after a recent content-expanding update.
