[In this weekly column, Gamasutra rounds up the most popular paid and free iPad gaming applications on the App Store as of today, with The Dark Knight Rises, Where's My Perry? and Tiny Wings HD currently ranking among the platform's top downloads.]

This week's top paid titles are:

1. Where's My Perry? (Disney, $0.99)
2. Where's My Water? (Disney, $0.99)
3. The Dark Knight Rises (Gameloft, $6.99)
4. Tiny Wings HD (Andreas Illiger, $2.99)
5. Temple Run: Brave (Disney, $0.99)
6. Amazing Alex HD (Rovio, $2.99)
7. Angry Birds Space HD (Rovio, $2.99)
8. Minecraft: Pocket Edition (Mojang, $6.99)
9. Batman Arkham City Lockdown (Warner Bros, $5.99)
10. Bejeweled HD (PopCap, $3.99)

Gameloft's iOS adaptation of the recently released superhero film The Dark Knight Rises ranks as the iPad's third-best selling game in its premiere week, trailing Disney's puzzlers Where's My Perry? and Where's My Water?

Rovio's Amazing Alex HD reports a sharp drop in popularity after topping the charts last week, meanwhile, landing behind Tiny Wings HD and Temple Run: Brave at sixth place.

Here are this week's top free iPad applications:

1. Pyramid Run (MagicBone)
2. Flick Kick Football (PikPok)
3. Fish with Attitude (Crowdstar)
4. Guess the Character (JanduSoft)
5. CSR Racing (NaturalMotion)
6. Bakery Story: World Games (TeamLava)
7. SuperPretzel Factory (Sunstorm Interactive)
8. Mutant Roadkill (Glu)
9. Flow Free (Big Duck Games)
10. Angry Birds Space HD Free (Rovio)

MagicBone's Temple Run clone Pyramid Run heads up this week's free charts, fending off competition from newcomers Flick Kick Football and Fish with Attitude.

Last week's top title Guess the Character falls to fourth in today's results, while NaturalMotion's CSR Racing remains a popular pick at fifth place.
