Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list.

This week brings Sound Shapes and Persona 4 Arena to North America, while Sniper Elite V2 and Orgarhythm ship in Japan.

The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending August 11th, 2012.

Games Released in the United States:

Jonathan Mak and Shaw-Han Liem's rhythm-platformer Sound Shapes debuts for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita this week. The game features new tracks from musical artists Beck and Deadmau5, and received widespread praise and numerous awards following an impressive showing at E3 2011.

Microsoft's Summer of Arcade promotion continues with the Xbox Live Arcade release of 5th Cell's multiplayer third-person shooter Hybrid, while the week's sole domestic retail highlight is Persona 4 Arena, a 2D fighter developed by Guilty Gear creator Arc System Works.

Games Released in Europe:

Idea Factory's PlayStation 3 strategy-RPG Agarest: Generations of War 2 (released stateside in June as Record of Agarest War 2) headlines a sparse retail lineup in Europe this week.

- 7554 - Glorious Memories Revived

Games Released in Japan:

A localization of Rebellion's Sniper Elite V2 hits the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this week in Japan. Other standout releases include Acquire's PlayStation Vita rhythm-action title Orgarhythm and a selection of PSP visual novels from Cyber Front and Idea Factory.
