With the 2012 London Olympic Games at the halfway point, the official video game for the event held on to the top spot in the UK top-selling charts last week, with an 88 percent boost in sales week-over-week.

From the week ended August 4, Chart-Track's official stats showed the top three didn't change at all, with Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes still at number two, waiting patiently to retake the top spot once the Olympics are over.

Mario & Sonic at the 2012 Olympics also rode the Olympics' wave of popularity, sitting once again at number three with a 42 percent increase in sales.

The only new title released last week was Deep Silver's Risen 2: Dark Waters, which managed to reach position 14, beating its predecessor Risen which entered the charts at number 29 back in 2009.

Below are Chart-Track's all-platforms sales charts, which include unit sales of all versions of a given title, and the individual platform charts, which treat individual SKUs separately.

Arkham City, Skyrim and AC : Revelations still in the top 10?
Who said that only the first few months of a game matter, and after that used games kill all potential sales?

@Daniel: I think they do.
And I admit that, while the second half of 2011 was filled with great games, 2012 haven't shown us many things so far.

So far, Batman is still a winner, though I heard Max Payne was also good as well, but i hadn't played it yet. I'm still waiting on Res Evil 6

I hope that Justin Smith's Realistic Summer Sports Simulator has seen an uptick in sales from this Olympics fever.
