Newsbrief: Patrick Liu, previously DICE's producer on Battlefield 3, has left the company to join Angry Birds studio Rovio as its creative director.

Liu was senior producer at DICE for over five years, and prior to that he held an associate producer role at Starbreeze Studios, where he worked on The Darkness and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.

Oskar Burman, general manager at Rovio, tweeted the news earlier today, while Liu noted that he is "looking forward to new and exciting challenges."
