Newsbrief: As Ubisoft looks to put its Toronto studio well and truly on the map, the company today announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art performance capture facility at the studio.

The new capture studio will allow Ubisoft Toronto to capture voice, facial and body performances from numerous actors all at the same time. The aim is to create "more immersive storytelling and more filmic, actor-driven games," says the studio.

Not only will the tech be utilized in upcoming titles from Ubisoft Toronto, including Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist, but it will also be used to contribute to projects at other Ubisoft studios.
