Launching an online game in today's competitive market is no easy task, and with the online space changing by the day, developers need to adapt quickly if they want to give their games the best chance at success.

Online game company Infinite Game Publishing has dealt with many of these modern challenges first-hand, and in a sponsored webcast on Gamasutra this Thursday, the firm will discuss its experience through the lens of three of its upcoming games: the much-hyped MechWarrior Online, MechWarrior Tactics and Sins of a Dark Age.

Infinite Game Publishing president Kelly Zmak and Andrew McBath of the IT infrastructure provider Internap will both take part in this webinar to discuss the making of these three titles, noting how publishers and developers can reduce technical and business risk and better prepare their games for launch.

The pair will also note how the relationship between developers and publishers has changed along with the online game market at large.

The webinar, "How to launch a warrior - News from the online gaming front," will be introduced and moderated by Gamasutra's own Christian Nutt, and will take place Thursday, November 8 at 2PM ET/11AM PT.

The session will be available for free online, with and those interested in tuning in can sign up via the webcast's official registration form. In addition, those who sign up and also attend the webcast will receive a one year digital subscription to Gamasutra sister publication Game Developer magazine.
