San Francisco independent mobile game developer MunkyFun is expanding thanks to a big investment from Gree.

In all Gree has invested $3 million into the company to develop new titles. MunkyFun is moving to a new larger office in San Francisco's Jackson Square with the funds and is increasing its headcount.

MunkyFun has been developing successful mobile titles for Natural Motion, including breakout hit My Horse. It was co-founded by three former LucasArts employees who were instrumental in the tech behind Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
