Newsbrief: In what has become a continuing trend for the service, the upcoming PC version of Capcom's Resident Evil 6 will contain Valve-contributed content when it becomes available on the Steam platform on April 5.

Characters from Valve's Left 4 Dead 2 will be playable within Capcom's Resident Evil 6 and, likewise, enemies from Resident Evil 6 will appear in an update for Left 4 Dead 2.

This isn't the first time Valve IP has appeared exclusively in the Steam version of another publisher's game: previously, characters from its Team Fortress 2 appeared in the Steam versions of Sega's Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and Robot Entertainment's Hero Academy.

Dear ID Software and EpicGames, when will you go Capcom vs SnK style and give us some Unreal Tournament vs Quake awesomeness?

I really want Valve to make a shameless Smash Bros knock off, they have enough franchises now: Half Life, Counter Strike, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, Ricochet (ha!), Dota.

When listing use of Valve characters, you forgot to mention The Cabin in the Woods.
