Video Games Live Announces 50 New Concerts, International Venues

Video game orchestral concert tour Video Games Live has announced 50 new shows in its lineup, including visits to France, China, Taiwan, Scotland, and Portugal, several coinciding with popular fan conventions, including San Diego Comic-Con.

According to the announcement on the tour's official website, the tour, which began in 2002, has performed to over 200,000 people across eight countries.

Presented globally by peripheral manufacturer Razer, and created by game composers Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall, the concert series' 2008 - 2009 season will begin in Winnipeg, Canada before traveling to the U.S., Germany, Brazil, China, Portugal, France, England, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Russia, Norway, and Sweden.

Full dates and venues are not yet available for many of the later international shows in the season, but the currently announced lineup includes these shows:
