Matthias Worch, recently attached to the cancelled Star Wars 1313 project, has posted a new version of his recent Game Developers Conference talk.

Titled "Talking to the Player - How Cultural Currents Shape Game and Level Design", Worch's talk explores how cultural epochs shape storytelling, and how contemporary culture is expressed through games. The talk also, in Worch's words, "gives some hands-on advice on everyday problems faced by level and narrative designers."

In addition to the encore presentation above, viewers can download the full set of annotated slides from Worch's website. GDC Vault members can also view the original live recording taken at the conference.
