Nintendo triumphs in Wii patent case (again)
Nintendo triumphs in Wii patent case (again)
May 13, 2013 | By Kris Graft

Newsbrief: One patent holder wanted to get a piece of the Nintendo Wii's success, but a court has denied that notion.

Nintendo today said the U.S. Court of Appeals upheld Nintendo's previous patent case victory over Dublin, Ohio-based Motiva, which holds the patent on a "human movement measurement system."

In 2010, Motiva brought the case before the International Trade Commission, saying Nintendo infringed on Motiva patents with the Nintendo Wii's motion-sensing features. A judge ruled against Motiva, which appealed the ruling (as we now know) unsuccessfully.

Reuters has more on the ruling: Nintendo wins appeals court decision over Wii
