Specialists from Darkwind Media -- a leading studio in porting engines and games to new platforms -- are joining forces with Unity Technologies under Unity Boston. The new office will be dedicated to advancing the titular software's deployment tools for developers.

The Unity development software is widely used for its accessibility and ability to export to a wide number of platforms. By bringing on platform specialists from Darkwind, a studio which has ported several Unity-based titles in the past, Unity Boston aims to streamline deployment from right out of the box.

"Hiring the platform experts from Darkwind Media to be in-house develoeprs makes a lot of sense for the continued development of Unity," says CEO David Helgason. "We've been working with this team for years... We are incredibly excited to see them come on board as our new Boston office."

Unity Boston will be headed up by Darkwind Chief Technology Officer Scott Flynn. Additional hiring for both platform development and QA is underway. Job-seekers in the Boston area are encouraged to apply here.

This is great news for Darkwind Media! Hopefully some of this success will spill over into their Rochester location.
