Newsbrief: British mobile app developer Ustwo, best known for Whale Trail, has launched a dedicated games studio headed up by a handful of notable industry figures.

Previously ustwo has provided mobile app services with games on the side, including titles like Whale Trail and the hotly-debated Papa Quash.

This new Ustwo games studio will focus solely on mobile game development, and is made up of producer Dan Gray (previously producer at Hello Games and Lionhead), visual designer Ken Wong (previously art director at Spicy Horse), and artist Ian White (who has worked on Aliens vs. Predator and Sniper Elite V2).

The studio's first game BLIP BLUP, a minimalist puzzle game, was released today. More information can be found on the Ustwo blog.
