New York's Museum of Modern Art has expanded its exhibition of video games, adding stalwarts such as Pong and Mojang's breakaway hit Minecraft.

The games are part of MoMA's Applied Design exhibition curated by Paola Antonelli. Antonelli offered an initial projection of 40 titles as a "wish list" for the exhibition, so we can expect plenty more on the way.

Adding to the exhibit's original 14 installations, here are the 6 new game additions, plus one hardware installation:

  • Pong (1972)
  • Space Invaders (1978)
  • Asteroids (1979)
  • Tempest (1981)
  • Yars' Revenge (1982)
  • Minecraft (2011)
  • Magnavox Odyssey (1972)
