Newsbrief: Warner Brother Games Montreal has been granted a $1.5 million investment by the Quebec government, with a new wave of job opportunities on the way.

The Canadian studio, which was set up back in 2010 and has been part of Nintendo Wii U development on Warner Bros. Batman games, says that it will create around 100 new jobs and buy new equipment, according to CTV.

With this grant, the studio's head Martin Carrier hopes that within five years' time, it will be "on a par with every other Warner Brothers studio."

Why does a company with tons of money need corporate welfare in the form of a grant to facilitate hiring and purchase new equipment? If anything I guess with all the money governments worldwide are printing out of thin air anything flies.

That was my first thought as well. I believe the justification is this part of the article, ", with a new wave of job opportunities on the way."

More jobs = Good
