ADC Best in Apps free contest deadline is Oct 15
ADC Best in Apps free contest deadline is Oct 15
October 14, 2013 | By Staff

GDC sister event App Developers Conference (ADC) organizers have announced a partnership with AppCircus, the unique global traveling showcase of the most innovative and creative apps, to bring the ADC Best in Apps free contest to Los Angeles, with a deadline to submit by October 15.

The ADC Best in Apps Contest will allow developers to submit and showcase their app in one of the following categories: Entertainment, Enterprise, Education, Health & Wellness, Brand Marketing and Lifestyle. (Because ADC is specialized around non-game apps, contest organizers are not looking for game submissions at this time -- so submit them to the Independent Games Festival 2014 instead!)

Three finalists from each category will be pre-selected by an international jury, and present their app to a panel of industry leaders in front of attendees at ADC. A winner will be crowned in each category and will receive a nomination for the prestigious Mobile Premier Awards, held by AppCircus during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in early 2014.

All app developers are encouraged to submit their app for free by October 15, 2013. More details about the contest are available on the AppCircus website.

All apps submitted to ADC Best in Apps powered by AppCircus will receive a promo code to redeem for an Expo Pass to App Developers Conference (Expo dates are November 5-6). Admission to ADC sessions and other events is not included.

The brand new App Developers Conference offers professionals a venue to share their knowledge about building, designing, marketing, and selling their apps. ADC will run November 5th-7th at the Los Angeles Convention Center and will be co-located with GDC Next.

Dozens of sessions have already been announced for ADC, including talks by Netflix, Pandora, Evernote, and more -- all of which are now available on our expanding interactive Session Scheduler. Recent session additions include Dreamkind on building children's education apps without relying on major brands, and Denim Group on keeping their app users' information secure.

Online registration is in full-swing for ADC and the co-located GDC Next; register now and save up to $200 on ADC, GDC Next, or a combined VIP All Access Pass. For all the latest news on ADC, subscribe for updates via Facebook, Twitter, or RSS. Also, check out GDC Next's latest talks, which include Sony on free-to-play for PS4, Square Enix on its Collective publishing platform, and sponsored sessions from Tencent, Google, GREE.

Gamasutra, GDC and ADC are sibling organizations under parent UBM Tech.
