Sony sold over 1 million PlayStation 4 consoles within the first 24 hours of the hardware being on sale in the U.S. and Canada last week.

The company is now looking to take that momentum into the upcoming European and Latin America launches of the console on November 29.

And the PlayStation behemoth had something else to smile about over the weekend too -- Halo studio Bungie, previously known for being an Xbox 360 exclusive company, is changing up its alliances.

We already knew that its upcoming highly-anticipated shooter Destiny is coming to PlayStation and Xbox platforms, but Bungie has now announced that beta access to the game will come to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 before the Xbox One or Xbox 360.

it's all about the bottom line..

instead of just xbox only.. releasing games for xbox and playstation as well is better..

or maybe wii u? looks like people forgot about it

guys it's called an edit button!! lol...your posts are hardly legible '-)

WiiU is for Nintendo's games, might as well embrace it (Talking to you Nintendo, stop saying third parties are important at the start of every gen -_-)

Exclusives for the most part suck. I only like exclusives that are made from the ground up to take advantage of a specific platform. Exclusivity deals always make my stomach twirl. Just unnecessary, and keeps gamers from having certain experiences.

With the slight differences in hardware, I would of course like some games to take advantage of PS4, but the majority of that should be coming from Sony, not money hatting.

Imagine the market impact if EA and Activision took a risk and canceled the last-gen versions of Destiny and Titanfall.

I'm not sure that would be a risk that benefits EA or Activision....why would they care if the units of the game sold came from either current or next gen systems?
