Nearly two years ago, we discussed the possibilities
of seeing video games on the Kickstarter-funded Pebble smartwatch
. With the launch of the Pebble appstore today, those possibilities are one step closer to reality.
The Pebble appstore is a smartphone application that can be downloaded for the watch, and allows users to easily find apps and games for the device. Before now, users were forced to use third-party applications to find apps for the device.
There are a bunch of games already released for the device, but they are all rather simple, such as takes on Hangman, Chess, Asteroids, Minesweeper
. With the launch of the dedicated appstore, Pebble will be hoping to attract app and game developers.
